Advanced Searching in Google
To begin:
Go to
Google
Click "Advanced Search"
Try to make a long list of words to type into the search box to make your search more focused.
Use quotation marks around phrases-for example, "animal rights"
Limit your domain
At the bottom of the search page, there is a box that says "Search within a site or domain:"
Choose these domains for more credible results:
.edu (educational institutions and universities)
.gov (U.S. government sponsored page)
.org (A non-commercial organization)
Try to
avoid
using .com and .net!
Choose only one domain at a time when limiting by domain. Do not do all three at once, or you will not get as many results.
